Visit by John Swinney MSP

Welcoming our local MSP, John Swinney.

We were delighted to host a visit from our local MSP and Deputy First Minister of Scotland, John Swinney.  We were able to combine this with a visit from Emma O'Bryen the Business Development Manager for the Scottish Distillers Association and Scotland Food and Drink.

Prior to the visit John said:

“I am very much looking forward to visiting Highland Boundary. Marian and Simon are incredibly passionate about their work, and I am confident that their first spirit will serve as a fitting tribute to both Scotland and their local community of Alyth.

“Marian and Simon have long been active in their community, from co-founding the Alyth Development Trust to operating Kirklandbank Farm. Moreover, they are passionate about developing local jobs. The latest diversification of their business portfolio is an exciting opportunity for a thriving local business to continue growing.

“I wish Marian and Simon well with their new venture, and I am delighted by the positive reviews their spirit is receiving, along with the early progress their business is making.”

During the visit we discussed the botanical collection and distilling processes we use; showed John around the distillery and discussed the local community.

We appreciate the support and kind wishes from John and we look forward to continuing to work well with all aspects of local and Scottish Government as our business progresses.
