Everything you need to host your very own cocktail bar at home!
What’s the one thing that every home celebration is missing? A cocktail bar, of course!
With the current restrictions that 2020 has brought us, we’ve become accustomed to the DIY/at-home spirit. However, you might feel that you’re running low on ideas of how to celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary or even Christmas at home. Movie marathon night? Tried it. Garden party? That was back in June. Zoom party? Been there, done that. So, DIY cocktail bar at home it is!
Creating your cocktail bar
Your bar itself will of course depend on your home and what you have to hand, but here are a few things to consider when setting up.
- Give yourself plenty of space to work and keep your ingredients near. You could use a side table to prop up in the living room for your household to watch as the magic unveils. Or, perhaps your kitchen has a breakfast bar which is an ideal place to get started.
- To make the cocktails, you’ll need a trust cocktail shaker and some glasses to serve to make sure you have all of these to hand.
- Finally, the decorations! Pick up some garlands, fairy lights, even a nice table cover and some ornaments to give your cocktail bar the finishing touch.
What you’ll need:
You don’t need to be a professional mixologist to create wonderful cocktails. Just a little inspiration and that’s where we come in.
To help get you started, we’ve pulled together a handy wee shopping list for you to take to your local supermarket. We’ve kept it quite simple so you should have no bother at all in finding all of your ingredients.
